How do I share one memory of Diane? That's an impossible task. There are so many memories that come crashing back as I think about our time together on Rum Cherry Road. She was always so friendly, always so funny, and always so unpredictable. I remember her telling me that she was depressed so she taught herself French...who does that? Diane does. She loved a good garage sale and I think Larry had to finally tell her to curb her enthusiasm in that regard, as the house, the garage, and the shed filled with her treasures. She played piano even though I don't know that she ever had formal lessons. She wrote poetry. She was crazy and she embraced it...and so did we. I knew she had been ill these past few years, but I kept holding on to hope that Larry and Diane's car would be in the driveway one morning, and that they were able to come "home". My heart is broken to read of her passing. Larry and Marie, Diane was a beautiful, eccentric person who drove a person crazy and drove a person to her at the same time. Thank you for sharing her with the world. She never seemed afraid to show herself to the world and we could all learn a lesson from that. I miss you, you crazy lady! Until we meet again, know that I'm thinking of you and wishing I appreciated you as much as you deserved.

I met Diane 36 years ago when our daughters were friends at school. I knew her for 5 minutes, and it seemed like I knew her all my life. We discovered we had a lot in common such as our birthdays being 8 days apart, but most of all we both had an intense love for Jesus. I went with her to a prayer group she was a member of, and I attended that group until it ended in 2020. We became best friends, but Diane was much more than a friend…she was my soul mate and prayer partner. She taught me so much about the Bible and vitamin nutrition. Our phone conversations were many. We would laugh so much and after a good belly laugh she would say “that was a hardy guffaw” She had a great sense of humor. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She was very smart about so many things. Her dedication to the pro-life movement was incredible. My heart is broken, but I know she is safely home in the arms of Jesus. I know we will meet again. Thank you for the memories my awesome friend. Love, Pat Yager
