I remember Doug as the heart of the lifeguard team at Rouge Pools circa 1970. Underwater bicycle-races, the yearly Monster Competition, volleyball at noon, WABX on the PA system, jamming with Gary Nita in the guard room, early morning medical oxygen therapy, end-of-season tower-diving (into a draining pool, no less!), and those full-moon nights when we'd convince the watchman to let us in to play-around and show-off for our girlfriends. It was a privilege Doug. My prayers are with your loving family. Peace, John.
