Obituary of Steven Ray Shover Sr.

Steven Ray Shover Sr., 57, of Port Richey, FL, passed away on November 3, 2021, in Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson, FL. Steve was born in Athens, OH, to Harold Glen and Mary (Brooks) Shover on November 17, 1963. His Grandfather and Grandmother Brooks started picking him up and taking him to church at an early age and he felt the call to preach at the age of 14. He graduated from Chauncey Faith Academy class of 1982. He married Sheila Vaught on February 17, 1984, in Morristown, OH. Steve took his first pastoral position in Christiansburg, VA, in July 1984 and later went on to pastor 3 more churches in TN, NC, OH. Most recently he served as the choir director and worship leader at Living Faith Community Church for almost six years. Steve is preceded in death by his grandparents Floyd and Katherine Brooks of Hollister, OH, Marie Shover of Red town, OH, Denver Shover of Ashland, OH, and his Father. Steve is survived by his wife Sheila Shover: Children, Steven Shover Jr, Angelica Shover, and Crystal Shover: Siblings Teresa Witham, Gary Shover, Missy Fisher, Michael Shover, and Christopher Shover, his Mother Mary Shover: Grandchildren Hunter McDonald, Alex McDonald, and Skylar Spears. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 6:00 pm, Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Living Faith Community Church 11038 Little Rd, New Port Richey, FL, to be followed by a carry in dinner in the Fellowship Hall. Another memorial service will be held in his home state of Ohio later.
