I am so sad to learn that dear Gail is gone. I only just heard this news. Gail and my friendship spanned nearly 50 years. As happened during the pandemic we didn't talk as often but we could always easily pick up where we left off. Of course I first met Gail through our shared love of the Afghan Hound. She entrusted me with several of her beautiful creatures to show and we enjoyed many successes through the years. I was always welcomed at her home in Mt Laurel when I was in the area. When the last Afghan Hound passed it was the end of an era but Gail and I remained special friends. Gail was adventurous and she would always share her new endeavors with me. She never ceased to amaze me. Gail was resilient, she could always bounce back from the trials and tribulations that life would bring. Gail was smart and independent. That is how I knew her, always. I am honored to have been someone who Gail trusted and am so blessed to have known her. I am left with many great memories and yes lots of laughs. May you Rest In Peace.

Gail, Sorry to learn of your recent passing. Thinking about you thirty six years after we met at an Old Dominion Kennel Club dog show in Manassas, VA in 1985. You were the only person at the Afghan Hound ring who gave me any attention when I was twenty five years old and interested in a dog. You invited me to your camper for an iced tea while brushing out "Fuzzbuster" the black and tan male champion. You told me about the litter of puppies that your friend Shirley had in Colts Neck, N.J. and the result was me owning my first Afghan Hound named "Prince" from 1985 until 1994. After he passed in 1994 you invited me to your home in Mount Laurel, N.J. for dinner and to visit his litter mate brother "Turbo" You are someone who was friendly and generous and kind to me which will always be remembered. Afghan Hounds have shared my life ever since, including five of them over the last thirty five years, always either black and tan or black with white or all black. "Onyx" my eleven year male passed recently on January 25th and "Sable" his litter mate sister is with me now. Wish it was possible for you to know about my gratitude for having met you right now. It has always been difficult to find another dog when one passes, because as we discussed back then the dogs are absolutely wonderful, but so often the breeders who sell them are not very pleasant people. When you kiss your dogs every morning and sleep with them every night the answer to the question about previous Afghan Hound experience should be quite obvious. After all of these years my nature and soul are part Afghan Hound. Wish the dogs could answer the pertinent questions, instead of human beings with their judgemental minds. May you be blessed and rest in peace now that the big picture can be seen and know the purpose for everything that was part of this living experience. Todd
