I have been struggling with what to write. Gary was more than a brother in law, he was a friend. We played cards, camped and vacationed together. He was very handy and helped with many home projects. He was especially helpful after my husband, Al, died. I am so sorry that my sister Patti has to go through this terrible journey. Love you Gary and we all will be together again.

I met Gary when we served as Company commanders in Germany, 1986-1987. Having been an NCO before commissionimg, he understood the technical aspects of multi-channel radio better than anyone I knew. Gary had the highest level of credibility of any of the five commanders in the 11th Air Defense Signal Battalion, the largest tactical signal battalion in the U.S. Army. We parted ways after I left Germany in Dec 1987. And 33 years later, I found him on Facebook. He looked pretty much the same after all these years. I am saddened to learn of his passing. Salute.

Joe and I so enjoyed attending Jax Suns baseball games, water skiing and dinners out on the town with both Patti & Gary. We will truly miss his wisdom, great sense of humor and love for animals. This news of his passing hit us hard. May he rest in peace. Joe & Elizabeth
